LIG Nex1 invites Colombian veterans of the Korean War 2025.04.13

LIG Nex1 invited Colombian veterans of the Korean War and expressed gratitude for their dedication on the sidelines of Colombiamar 2025,
an international naval defense conference held at the Cartagena convention center.
The event took place at the OSH Hotel in Cartagena on March 13 (local time) to honor Colombian veterans of the Korean War and their families.
It was attended by Lee Wang-keun, South Korean Ambassador to Colombia, and Lee Hyun-soo, head of LIG Nex1’s overseas business.

Colombia is the only Latin American country that fought in the Korean War, and Cartagena, the event venue, is a historic place
where destroyers carrying ground troops departed for the Korean Peninsula.
LIG Nex1’s special relationship with Colombia dates back to 2011,
when it opened a liaison office before any other Korean defense company and then exported the C-Star ship-to-ship guided missile in 2012.
Apart from this event to honor Colombian veterans of the Korean War,
LIG Nex1 has continued to support activities in Colombia by contributing to the Association of Colombian Veterans of the Korean War
and the Navy Wives Club of Colombia, making donations to the Korea-Colombia Amity Rehabilitation Center, and cooperating with local academies on defense issues.
